Lost Wisdom

Flickers of what was once known
Appear for but a moment,
Startled into being, out of nowhere.
Something has been lost,
The hold on memory is gone.
Trying to reach the thought, the memory,
Too far, too hidden, too closed off.

Random moments in a sea of consciousness
Make no sense,
Do not exist in the reality of today.
